I got to work in the lab for 30-40 hours a week, and it was really fun. It gave a soft intro to grad student life.
What I wish was different
My graduate student mentor was a bit demanding, and it made my experience very stressful.

You’re bound to make mistakes at some point. The important thing is how you improve after that, and what steps you take to make sure they don’t happen again.
