I greatly enjoyed seeing the behind-the-scenes of research and understanding and witnessing the kind of decision-making that goes into what kind of research activities to carry out within a study. It's feasibility, viability, and the various technicalities and logistics that need to go right in order to carry out a research method.
What I wish was different
I wish I had the opportunity to do more fieldwork and hope to do so in the future!
Advice
There are times when certain tasks can be mundane and repetitive, but that is part of the process. So, I would recommend figuring out a way of finding or making those activities fun for yourself!

Do not be afraid to apply for something. You are more qualified than you think.
