I enjoyed mentoring the students, and helping them learn about the scientific process. I also enjoyed the many opportunities presented to me where I could learn extensive event planning, and learn how to be a part of a team in which each person had their own individual job and responsibilities.
What I wish was different
I wish that the other counselors were more willing to be part of a cohesive team instead of acting as individuals. This job is also very time consuming, and once camp started I did feel extremely underpaid.
Advice
This is a very rewarding experience, and if given the time, I would enjoy being able to mentor students again.
