I really liked doing "research" that involved community engagement and learning from the community by being there, instead of just reading about them from campus. My project involved creating a Youth Master Plan that focused on the teens in Wilmington, DE to help decrease teen violence.
What I wish was different
I wish I had started my project sooner so that I could have accomplished even more.
Advice
I would say if you have the opportunity, definitely sign up to become a Summer Scholar for the University of Delaware because it is a great opportunity and it is paid.
