i liked working on my leadership skills and basically becoming the first point of contact for incoming students
What I wish was different
more time to schedule or prepare for orientation days. better reminder emails a week in advance rather than the day before
Advice
great experience. you learn about the university, its resources, and get to share your knowledge as a student to incoming students. create friendships, sense of school spirit, lots of recognition for the work done

What I liked
I love being able to work and study all in the same place. It has given me a better sense of community!
What I wish was different
I wish I could work in the office again, but because of COVID that's not possible. :(
Advice
A piece of advice I would give is to work on small things that don't require "serious" skill.
1. Being on time
2. Being open and communicative with bosses and coworkers
3. Being enthusiastic about new strategies and projects
These are all things you can do to greatly improve your work experience and the experience of those around you. They show a lot of maturity and professionalism and they aren't hard to do!

Managers were very nice. Good teamwork. Professional and super super flexible & understanding!
What I wish was different
I know that things are difficult right now but having a higher pay would be nice just because we are students of the university and the money that we earn will initially be used for the university anyways!
Advice
It is super fun! If you are outgoing and enjoy meeting new people this one is for you! :)

Don't feel overwhelm if you don't understand everything that is going on, the point is to get experience and learn as you go

Do outreach to oncoming freshmen students to the Cama’i Room so they won’t feel as homesick.
