I loved getting to experience working in a congressional office. It is a side to politics that is often overlooked. It was also great getting experience working in an office setting. Every staffer is so nice and helpful. It was terrific.
What I wish was different
My experience was cut short due to Coronavirus which was disappointing. My position wasn't the most involved, however, they are always willing to work with you to make the program better and make it more worthwhile.
Advice
Make sure you have plenty of business formal attire. Get to know everyone in the office. Get to know your fellow interns, and brush up on your customer service skills!
