Living in D.C. and working for a senator who loves her constituents was incredible.
What I wish was different
Daily tasks were monotonous.
Advice
Do not be afraid to ask questions and do things outside of your comfort zone. Use your internship as a tool and educational experience.

Intern
May - July 2018 • Washington, DC
What I liked
I loved everything about the experience. From the people I met and worked with to the actual work, everything was enjoyable. It was really cool giving tours of the U.S. Capitol building.
What I wish was different
I wish I had waited another year or two to do the internship. I was only 19 and I was just a little too young for the city.
Advice
Go on coffee meetings with staff to network. They have helped me since the internship for other jobs.
