I loved being able to be directly involved in addressing issues of climate and health. Specifically, I'm helping countries develop their national frameworks to include health in climate adaptation and mitigation measures, so it's amazing to be able to say that I'm having a tangible impact.
What I wish was different
The only thing that I wish was different would be being able to actually attend a General Assembly meeting; I hear and read so much about them in class so it would be awesome to see it in person!
Advice
The entire United Nations system is a work in progress, it may seem slow at some points, but the work is all worth it. They're here to learn from us as much as we're there to learn from them. My piece of advice would be to really immerse yourself in the experience because it's truly a unique opportunity.
