I learned a lot about the textile industry and about the different roles that artists, mills, and jobbers have in bringing a fabric to the final user. The people I worked with were great!
What I wish was different
I wish I could have interacted more with clients and helped out more with recoloring/design work.
Advice
Be willing to serge lots of samples, have a good attitude, and ask lots of questions!
