UMKC Women's Center

About UMKC Women's Center

The Women’s Center’s mission is to advocate, educate, and provide support services for the advancement of women’s equity on campus and within the community at large. In support of our mission, we host many events and programs, coordinate the Her Art Project, collaborate with the UMKC Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies Program and other academic departments to offer a study abroad program in Senegal, invite speakers to campus, give presentations, attend community events, send students to the annual Sue Shear 21st-Century Leadership Academy, collaborate with the Violence Prevention and Response Program, Multicultural Student Affairs, and LGBTQIA Programs and Services, and much more! Explore our website or check out our annual report video to learn more about what we do — and be sure to come visit us in 105 Haag Hall. We hope to see you soon!
