All of my coworkers and bosses were supportive, communicative, and happy to help myself and the other counselors. The pay was great, the field trips were fun, and the campers loved it.
What I wish was different
I wish the camps had been longer. It's an amazing program and hope to return next year!
Advice
Be patient with yourself and the campers, and make the camp atmosphere comfortable and safe.

Power Coop Intern

What I liked
The Engineering Department there is very helpful and flexible place to work. Great team right now with plenty of projects from many branches of what the engineering team oversees.
What I wish was different
I wish I had planned projects to work on there before I had arrived, I ordered parts for what was going to be one of my main projects while working there the second week I was there and a 13 week lead time, which means I did not get to see the project all the way through. It is this way with a lot of power equipment.
Advice
Be willing to try just about anything, know your knowledge level and don’t be afraid to ask questions but also use initiative in projects. As an intern you want to learn as much as you can, build strong relationships, and use the knowledge and skill you have learned in school and life as much as you can.
