I loved the flexibility of the program to allow our team to tailor our public health approach to the community we were working with. I learned so much from their teaching methods and felt really supported during the whole project. I think this program also helped me explore global health in a positive way and the whole program is set up to provide continued support to villages beyond the work of interns!
What I wish was different
Wish there was a better outline of what we would accomplish in the project before going to Uganda to complete the project.
Advice
Go with an open mind and the ability to adapt. This will test your ability to be adaptable and going with the flow a bit will be a huge help for people participating in this project.
