The first summer was very hands-on and introduced me to many different fields within conservation. It was also nice that this is a two year paid opportunity, which takes a lot of stress off of having to find another internship next summer!
What I wish was different
I wish that there were more emphasis on social fields within conservation especially when it more urban environments.

Advocate for what you want especially when discussing possibilities for second-year internships!
