It was an overall fantastic experience. The MCC leadership was incredibly dedicated and they were just generally wonderful people. If I needed help with something, they would be there to help. I learned a lot, including random space facts, and better ways to work with both kids and adults.
What I wish was different
The biggest negative at Space Camp is if you are an RA. I do not recommend being an RA at ALL. I had to work approximately 40 hours/month unpaid to cover housing expenses, but that doesn't include the general "kid knocks on your door and wakes you up 5 times in one night" kind of stuff. Also the accommodations were not very good. Food was not good, and there were not enough staff bathrooms in the Habitats.
Advice
Don't be an RA. If you like space history and can handle kids all day, be a team leader. If you are more interested in space missions, and can work with kids but can't handle them all day, I recommend being MCC. With MCC, you only have any given group of kids for about an hour at a time. If you like planes and a military feel, go for Aviation Challenge.

The other employees were fantastic. Management was also really good and took care of the lifeguards. If you like working with kids this is a great opportunity.

Advice
Prepare to work. This is not a normal lifeguard job but it is rewarding. There are also other opportunities to work with kids and aerospace if lifeguarding isn’t your thing.

MCC Crew Trainer

What I liked
Management and communication within the MCC department were always clear and concise. It also allowed for great networking and the ability to teach and train people of varying ages who were interested in space and hoped to pursue it in the future was a rewarding experience.
What I wish was different
Double shifts scheduled multiple days in a row increases wear and tear on your body fatigue-wise
Advice
Pace your activities outside of work so you do not hit a fatigue wall on the job and if you are ever unsure of something just ask leadership or your boss. They are always happy to help or retrain.

What I liked
I really enjoyed sharing all my knowledge about space and math to younger kids. Not only did I see their curiosity grow stronger throughout the week but I also got to learn about different cultures and customs.
What I wish was different
The hours were very long and I didn't have much time to do hobbies that I wanted to do over the summer like read or do art projects
Advice
I would say that it was an awesome experience but to not overwork yourself during the summer. Find some time to enjoy time off from school at least once a week because you don't want to get burned out!
