What I liked
Fantastic place to get exposure to the many facets of Wall Street and the financial industry. I had the privilege of working with very accomplished, experienced, and respected examiners who taught me a lot about Wall Street, how investments are conducted, and the business itself. Additionally, due to the exams I was part of, I was allowed to do portfolio and trading reviews for some renowned and very well known banks and firms.
What I wish was different
Advice
I highly recommend coming to the SEC before you graduate. The experience and work is unparalleled compared to organizations/ firms of similar stature. Additionally, most college students don't really have a very good understanding of Wall Street and its many facets. The SEC gives you fantastic industry wide exposure and a better understanding of how business is actually conducted on Wall Street. I would highly recommend it to anyone who plans on working in the financial industry.
