Social Media Intern

July 2021 • Kissimmee, FL

What I liked

I enjoyed learning the Discord platform and using the Google Docs editor suite. I was able to consistently analyze market trends and opportunities to create and moderate content for Tik Tok. I enjoyed the team meetings and the ability to do well. My skills in design were put to good use and I was allowed to hang out as the social media manager after my internship agreement ended.

What I wish was different

I prefer a learning platform, but the demand for social media content and organization was a big deal for everybody. A better structure like organizing files, creating a profile banner were not as clear and expected as gaining new followers.

Advice

I like to know that there is plenty of learning experience within a small business. This startup meets many trends in the game design industry and there is plenty to help out with. As an intern you should pursue the standards for your role which come from a great education plan.

Quality Assurance intern

February 2019 - March 2020 • Boise, ID

What I liked

Most of our work was through Discord which made things really easy and fun.

What I wish was different

I don't think I would have changed anything, it was fun and I learned quite a bit.

Advice

It is really up to you how much you put into the stuff you do. This internship had some busy work, and there were points where you could cut corners, but it goes back to thinking why are you doing it in the first place if you decide to cut corners.
