As an intern for Turnkey Corrections // Three Square Market, I rotated through different departments in the company. I spent a week in each department and gained experience in a variety of different areas such as finance, marketing, project management, customer service, etc. As a history major, the variety of experience in the internship program was awesome.
What I wish was different
I wish I had more time to spend in the departments I was the most interested in.
Advice
One piece of advice I would share is to do your best to go into an internship experience with an open mind and be confident. The experience is much more rewarding when you are confident and take initiative rather than being passive and missing out on opportunities to grow.
