I wish I could have stayed longer.
Advice
Approach people and ask for opportunities. Trout Unlimited didn’t offer an internship program until I contacted the Utah head biologist and bugged him enough!

What I liked
I liked the variety of events and tasks that came with the internship. We taught programs at a few Girl Scout camps, planted native gardens, and conducted community macroinvertabrate sampling in Rockford.
