Quality Assurance Intern

What I liked

I really liked the work environment. Everyone I interacted with was very friendly and willing to go out of their way to provide assistance.

What I wish was different

Advice

I would say get involved in as much as you can, especially the events they hold outside of work. It was a great way to meet people and expand connections.

Quality Assurance Intern

June - August 2019 • Windsor, CT

What I liked

I truly liked this internship experience because the facility was under a lot of internal reconstruction. Operations weren't always running smoothly and caused quite some chaos. Why did I like this? There was never a dull moment. There was always a problem that needed to be fixed and I very seldom sat around with no work to accomplish. Many internships have little assignments or freedom to help different aspects of the business/corporation.

What I wish was different

I do not wish anything different. I truly feel the experience I obtained this summer was priceless.

Advice

One piece of advice I would like to share is to always approach every situation with a "can do" attitude, regardless if you know the solution or not. Nobody is perfect. If you don't know the right approach, you will receive help along the way. Ask questions, lean from mistakes, and keep persevering until you achieve the deliverable. Also, having a positive attitude can leave a lasting mark on your coworkers, supervisors, peers, etc. Even if you aren't the smartest or brightest individual, the rest of the team wants to surround themselves with a positive culture and group of people. Just smile and look at the glass half full. Simple.

Production Operations Student Intern

December 2018 - July 2019 • Milledgeville, GA

What I liked

Best internship experience ever! Management and co-workers were all very kind and caring people. There is a variety of different tasks to do daily that keeps work interesting. I learned so much, especially using Excel every day. I would recommend this job to anyone.

What I wish was different

The only thing I wish was different is there could have been more professional development opportunities. Maybe a Microsoft office class or some kind of certificate that could be put on a resume.

Business Development Intern

July - August 2018 • West Hartford, CT

What I liked

I liked that I got to learn more about an industry that I had yet to be exposed to. It also gave me a chance to work in a department that was more closely related to my concentration instead of my major, so I could really feel out if it was the right decision to continue with that course of study. They are also the nicest people!

What I wish was different

I gained a lot from the experience, but didn't get to work with other functions as much as I would have liked to. I wish I could've had the chance to work in a group setting with other interns more often.

Advice

Take control of your own learning and talk to as many people as possible. They have great advice and knowledge if you're willing to go out and get it yourself.
