Undergraduate Research Assistant
June - July 2019 • Hartford, CT
What I liked
I liked that I lived close to where I worked. Also, the transition from the school semester to working over the summer was easy. Every Tuesday we met to speak about careers and each other's research (and included lunch) so that was something to look forward to every week. Very manageable time commitment.

Advice
I would recommend anyone who is a rising senior who plans on writing a thesis to reach out to their college and see if there are opportunities to get funding for research costs and campus living the summer before their senior year.
