Working for TriCal Superior Forage, a Northern Agri Brands company, has been a pleasure! TriCal is a super small company of eight full time employees who specialize in selling triticale (a hybrid of wheat and rye). Despite my internship being remote, I feel supported by each of the eight friendly employees. The work I do is meaningful and I can see the direct impact I have on the company. I highly recommend interning with TriCal!

Don't be afraid to take initiative and provide input to your boss! They love feedback and are willing to make changes to become more efficient/effective.

What I liked
It was an AMAZING internship. If you want to experience the "real world", apply for this internship. They give you a broad task to complete for the summer and you take it as far as you want. After I was familiar with their products they let me off the leash to go sell actual product to farmers. Taught me how to talk with customers and finalize a sale on my own. The employees are extremely amazing to work with. They are always willing to answer your questions and are very easy to talk to. I would highly recommend this internship to anyone looking to get into sales.

There is no "hand holding" in this. you must be a "self starter" and be able to get things done without being told to do it. You have a great opportunity to really get involved with your area and to get an experience of what the real world, take advantage of it.
