Project Management Intern
June - October 2018 • Arlington County, VA
What I liked
I love my bosses and all the people I worked with. I went in at a time when they are switching from an old system to a new one and they were kind enough to include me in all their meetings, the designing process of the new system and gave me the opportunity to design their Performance Metrics Page. It was a great learning experience.
What I wish was different
I actually enjoyed my time there and wouldn't have wished anything different .
Advice
I absolutely love this experience because it gave me the opportunity to learn a lot of things I didn't learn in class. Things like how to work in an office environment and the importance of getting along with everyone; the benefits of team work, contract negotiations, critical thinking, always putting the company first, and other basic things like learning how to use all machines in an office. I encourage everyone to consider interning for a company to prepare for the job market.
