What I liked

I like how close crew members get with each other, and how personable the managers are. I have worked at Trader Joe's since the summer before my senior year of high school (I'm a college sophomore now) and I still work there every winter break and summer because I love it there so much! I was trained incredibly well when I first started and it's been a great experience.

Definitely take a job at Trader Joe's if you are offered one! You won't regret it!

What I liked

They treat their employees excellently and I have a fantastic corporate mission dedicated to great customer service as well as reducing their waste as much as possible. For instance, an employee is allowed to give a customer a bouquet of free flowers for their birthday and the company donates any good, but unsellable food to local charities. Not to mention, they are very flexible and willing to work with one's availability.

What I wish was different

Advice

You really have to have a genuinely friendly personality type in order to thrive in their environment. You will also typically have to be able to move around and do manual labour for the entire shift.

Nothing really, the work was hard but that’s to be expected and can’t really be changed

Advice

Definitely would recommend working here to get you through college. You have to have the sort of personality that can wow customers and generate sales through recommendations and demonstrations.
