I really liked the team I was working with. Everyone was super nice and very helpful with any questions I had.

What I wish was different

I wish there were more in-person events. The entire team was based in New York City so it would have been nice for all of us to meet at some point.

Advice

Go in with an open mind and ready to learn a lot. Be open to failure and trying things again and again.

I wish I had been able to continue for a longer period of time, and though I worked on a variety of projects, that I had worked on more.

Advice

You're able to experiment with a variety of mediums, and it's up to you to make the most out of the opportunities that are presented to you while you're there, whether it's going to cover a story or work directly in the newsroom or on the radio.

I wish there was more to do sometimes, there can be downtime, but the events were really fun that I did go to!

I would tell people to make the most of each event, meet new people and don't forget to introduce yourself to the talent. They love meeting new people!

The creative freedom and casualness within the office. I knew my voice was being heard when brainstorming.

What I wish was different

More order within the program, there were days when I would edit the same video for practice.

Advice

Be outgoing. Take any chance you get to talk to whoever whether it be in the break room, the bathroom, just passing by, etc. Don't be afraid to ask employees within the organization about their career joruneys, how they got there, what they would've done differently, etc

I liked working many different events, but I enjoyed meeting and talking to many different people in buffalo at each event.

What I wish was different

That they had more hands on work for me to do. A lot of the time they had me be their receptionist when they told me I would be doing and learning different things within the radio station.
