What I liked

There was a lot to learn in my field along with working in the public sector. From working on large-scale design projects to collecting data for the towns GIS database. There was always something going on. The best part was achieving something with my projects and helping everyday people with there common municipalities. Mainly in terms of stormwater but I also worked in water and sewer programs as well.

What I wish was different

Advice

There's a lot of computer work that schooling doesn't teach you. Excel is big when it comes to calculations and that isn't utilized at Clarkson as much. Followed with simple CAD and GIS projects throughout courses would be helpful. For the internship, I learned a lot and it was a very enjoyable experience. It got me to be more driven in school when I thought I lost my drive.
