Advice
I would advise to come into Topgolf with an open mind. In life, change can happen spontaneously and having an open mind to adapt to that change will make work and life easier and more fun.

The first few years it did not feel like work at all, I actually enjoyed it. The associates there were amazing & we were like a family.
What I wish was different
The last couple of years management changed and the family environment started to drift away. A few managers are still there that are amazing, hopefully they can keep them!

Event Sales Admin
June - September 2019 • Edison, NJ
What I liked
I enjoyed the work itself and also got to work with a lot of really cool people with reasonable hours. I really learned a lot and some of the managers were always mentoring me and showing me ways to improve.
What I wish was different
There's a lot of talk behind each others back. I felt I was treated unfairly and paid less than another admin despite having the same work experience just because her cousin was a manager. Sales consultants were forced to work weekends while management did not and promotions were only given if there is an open position; they are reluctant to promote internally Management was irresponsible taking PTO in the middle of the busiest season while we were short a sales representative. When I asked for help with an task, management would frequently put it off but if I were to lose a sales lead, my boss was at my desk in 15 seconds. There was no guarantee of hours and I really wish I was given more responsibility earlier on.
Advice
Pay a competitive rate and when an associate needs help, management should drop everything they're doing to help them. Really put a emphasis on treating your employees fairly, they are your biggest asset.

What I liked
I loved the opportunity to receive insight in how the company markets and advertises and the little ways they allow first line employees to take part.
What I wish was different
When I first applied for the job I picked up a ton of hours, but the company started to over staff which decreased the amount of hours I originally received.
Advice
