It was a little more fundraising than expected.
Advice
Be prepared to fundraise! Yes, there are other aspects to the internship, but the main aspect is putting on a fundraising event.

What I liked
This organization has a program which I liked because they weren't scrambling to find things for me to do. I actually completed assignments and created a fundraiser on my own.
What I wish was different
My intern manager changed four times. I only got to know one of them which makes it hard to use them as a reference.
Advice
This would be a really good first internship. You can also do this internship remotely, which is what I did.

What I liked
I loved the values of the non-profit organization. During the internship I never felt alone, the intern manager was always checking in. Along with that I love that I was doing good for foster children, as I helped raise funds for these children to be reunited with their siblings.
What I wish was different
Advice
Never be afraid to apply for something, do your research and if you feel particularly strong about the subject, apply! I came across this internship by simply searching for one in my area, and forever grateful I found it!
