Mechanical Engineer Intern

May 2019 • Deerfield Beach, FL

What I liked

I like the fact that this company treats you like another engineer in the group. They give me deadlines every week and they listen to my ideas.

What I wish was different

Nothing. TLC is a great place to work for and it is proven since they won Best Firm to Work for in 2019 and 2020.

Technology Design Engineering

May 2019 • Miami, FL

What I liked

What I liked the most is how welcoming everyone was. How my supervisor was willing to teach me everything from scratch and his incredible amount of patience. Everything that I learned and I am still learning helped me realized what I actually wanted to do after graduating.

What I wish was different

I would’t change anything. It has been one of the best experiences working out of campus.

Advice

I would advice to give it a try to an experience even when you’re not sure that’s what you want to do. Or even if you have no idea what to expect from the position because this might help you figure out what you really want to do in the future. It doesn’t hurt to have different experiences.

Electrical Engineering Intern

May - August 2018 • Tampa, FL

What I liked

The Tampa office blew me away with their friendliness and responsiveness to questions. Despite my position only being temporary, they trained and taught me as if I were going to stay on full time. People centric atmosphere.

What I wish was different

The company was in turmoil during my time there. Many of my coworkers resigned, including 2 PE's from my department while I was there.

Advice

Be ready to learn. On the job training will make up more of your skillset than what was learned in University.
