Make your availability as clear as possible to the managers (they tend to listen to the days you're available, not so much the times) or your work schedule will probably not turn out in a way that fits your needs--especially when school is in session.

What I liked

I am a beauty associate and I enjoy helping customers with tips and tricks on makeup, skin care, and hair care. I also work as a backup cashier and backup jewelry associate. This job has thought me how to strategically handle customers who needs my assisting and some conflicts I might run into on the job.

What I wish was different

I wish I had sign up sooner for this job because I feel comfortable working there and I actually enjoy the work I do there.

Advice

One piece of advice I would share is to manage your time because you can easily get distracted or overwhelmed with the work load. Stay focus on the task at hand and try to set a goal for yourself for the day. I always see the amount of work I have to do first and then plan how I will get it done before my shift ends.
