Internal Audit Intern

What I liked

I loved the atmosphere and culture here! I was given so many opportunities to explore the internal audit side of accounting, experience and external audit, see how publicly traded company operates, and work closely with internal auditors and dealerships. This opportunity gave me a lot of independent tasks.

What I wish was different

Because of COVID-19, we were not able to travel on-site to the different dealerships so we had to audit from our headquarters. It would have been an unique experience to travel.

Advice

Do not overlook this opportunity. As an accounting student, traditional CPA firms are pushed and companies like this are often overlooked. I really enjoyed my time here and am looking forward to working with them again this summer! The boss and coworkers are so fun and encouraging!

What I liked

Working with the employees was very fun, everyone is so nice and helpful and happy to answer your questions about anything. The manage at the Luverne, Minnesota location makes sure that you get a full experience and that you learn everything you want to learn. Even if you want to intern there for a specific area, he will still let you try different areas if you would like.

What I wish was different

I wish I would have been able to be there longer, because of things that came up in life I wasn't able to continue my internship.

Advice

Make sure you introduce yourself to everyone, you may find that one area might be more within your interest than another, or that you need tools for something or help with something that other employees could help you with.
