Working with kids gave me a great opportunity as a future teacher to have more experience and learn.
What I wish was different
Everything was great! But, as a Math Adolescence Education major, I would have liked to have 7th and 8th graders as well.
Advice
Notging is going to come up perfect as you have planned. Sometimes, it will and that’s good. Have fun, relax, and enjoy the kids.

What I liked
I was able to get experience as a teacher but in a relaxed kind of way because I didn't have to teach anything, but I had to have activities planned, materials prepared. Therefore, I felt great working here because I learned so much about myself as a teacher. I have learned to be flexible and adapt to any kind of situation.
What I wish was different
Maybe having a partner to coteach and coplan would be great. I little more organization with scheduling.
Advice
Sneakers even if you are an instructor and have your own room. You don't know if they are going to need you and pull you out of your off period and put you with a group of students like a counselor. Unless you love heels like I do and don't really stress about it. I learned to be flexible and roll with whatever they threw at me. It is amazing because I feel more prepared for teaching.
Never use your phone, you are working! At least, that's how you show your ethic. Plus, kids could complain or say something to their parents that you are on your phone, and that will cause problems because parents will talk to administrators.
Always be willing to offer a helping hand, bring new interesting ideas, and SMILE!

I wish I had a different age group, preferably younger kids, I had 4th graders.
Advice
Kids look up to you for anything, so you always have to be the best you around them.
