I enjoyed being able to work outside and enjoy the lake. My supervisors were kind and helpful, and I got along well with my coworkers. It was interesting to learn to do boat inspections and I think the information I learned will help me with my classes.

What I liked
Working with customers and providing a positive experience for the customer. Also, working and teaching kids how to golf and seeing their growth and process of getting better every day.
What I wish was different
I wish the workers around me would have been more motivated and that they see the importance of being assertive and always looking in ways to help out whether that's with a project or around the shop area.
Advice
If there are people around you that are lazy or not hard workers, push positivity and energy to try to better the work culture.

What I liked
I enjoyed the management and the jobs that were assigned to our team. Everyone shared the same passion of the outdoors.
What I wish was different
I wish that some of the employees would have been a little more motivated to do a good job 100% of the time instead of just 50% of the time.
Advice
The work can be very labor intensive at times and you have to make sure you are taking care of yourself in the heat of the summer.

Management was wonderful. My supervisor was very personable and understanding. There is a lot flexibility and I enjoyed being outside. Also room to use language skills (Spanish).

There is not a lot of team work in the research roles.

It's important to have personal responsibility and accountability when given individual tasks because it influences the research of a prominent organization.
