I enjoyed communicating with and obtaining supplies for the various departments. This position was great for connecting with both the staff and the campers in interpersonal ways in a faith-based environment. The housing and food was included with our salary and it was pretty high quality. The scenery was also beautiful. However, the people that I met from various walks of life were my favorite part of the job.
What I wish was different
The communication from management was pretty spotty. Sometimes, changes in the schedule of the day was quickly changed and not everybody would be in the loop. We were also fairly understaffed, which ended up working out in the long run, however it resulted in having to work overtime many days.
Advice
I would recommend taking notes during the meetings and asking a lot of clarifying questions to the staff and management because once campers show up, it can be very chaotic.
