I liked that within the department everyone was working together and there wasn’t an explicit hierarchy of who was in charge. Everyone shared help and advice with everyone else on the team

Forensic Engineer Intern
May - August 2019 • New York City, NY
What I liked
I really liked how they had a solid, planned out internship experience that allowed me to interact with the other interns a lot. It also had programs for us to prepare for the "real world" such as a financial planning meeting with an Edward Jones advisor.
What I wish was different
I wish they had more work to give me, honestly. It was hard to find work sometimes. That's the hardest part about starting a new job/internship in general I guess.
Advice
In retrospect, this was not the best fit for an underclassman physics major (with no engineering experience) and I should've spent some time learning about engineering first. Either way, it was still a fantastic experience at a great company.
