I really enjoyed that they had me working with Adobe creative suite. I felt like they put trust in me to make videos that the media outlet actually used, rather than having me work on less important projects because of my lack of experience. The pressure of working on important projects helped me learn a lot, while at the same time feeling like I was contributing valuable content to the company I was working for.
What I wish was different
I wish I received more of an opportunity to socialize and work with others around me at the company. I worked at a desk a bit far from the rest of the crew, and I didn't really get a chance to work with the other editors or interns. The work environment could have been designed in a way that fostered more interaction with other people that were working on similar projects.
Advice
Find a good happy medium between your editing style and what they are expecting from a video. Be creative, but also make sure you don't stray to far away from what they're looking for.
