I enjoyed working in a collaborative environment. I enjoyed creating music for the kids to learn. I enjoyed the art projects and field trips.
What I wish was different
I wish there had been on the job training. I wish I would have understood the time commitments outside of normal hours before committing to the job.
Advice
Be prepared to spend time outside of normal work hours. Lesson plans are done at home. If you’re going to work in the music class, be prepared to spend over 20 extra hours just preparing the material for the musical.
