What I liked

The knowledge and inside look at political campaigning was really interesting, as well as experiencing production from a political ad standpoint, rather than the short films I have had experience. The office is small and close, which makes for great conversations and atmosphere.

What I wish was different

We were the first cohort of interns, so there was a feeling of being a trial run, with still figuring out what we could do for them and handing off work. It meant some times we didn't have much to do, but part of that reason is that our supervisors wanted to give meaningful work, rather than busywork like filing or cleaning the office, which I appreciate.

Advice

Definitely talk to everyone in the office - the paths people took to their current roles are so interesting and can be really helpful in figuring out your own career steps.
