I like that I am able to use hotel discounts around the world for whenever I travel. As a Marriott partnership, I am able to use both Starwood and Marriott hotels whenever I travel at a employee rate.
What I wish was different
We often do work that outperforms our 5.23 that covers base pay before tips, as we often do a lot of work that goes beyond what we are tipped to do, there is often confusion over compensation.
Advice
I would say that it is a good job for those who are looking to work in a tipped environment and who need a part-time job while going to school. You can move around to different positions in the hotel, so for those interested in hospitality, this is a place to start.
