The opportunity to meet and shape the lives of incoming College of Engineering freshman, as well as the chance to improve my public speaking and presentation skills.
What I wish was different
That the G.E.A.R.S. were able to assist even more in the presentation because I think the student connection is key for our orientation.
Advice
You are directly influencing how these incoming freshman spend their first semester at the University of Arizona and how they view the college coming in, so it's incredibly rewarding to see them studying and on track during the semester. You need to keep their best interests in mind, not what just worked for you.
