The Summit Bechtel Reserve is a 10,600-acre outdoor recreation and adventure sports facility bordering the New River Gorge National River & Park, near beautiful Fayetteville, West Virginia. We host multiple thousand-person events, special outdoor recreation activities, and summer-long programs.
The Summit is home to a Boy Scouts of America National High Adventure Base, a traditional Scout summer camp, Family Adventure Camp, and a Training & Leadership Center. We offer career-starting and resume-building experience with transferable skills, including, but not limited to, management, hospitality, aerial/wheels/aquatic/shooting sports, emergency operations, and more! Internships are also available!
