An Iconic Oasis of Luxury and Serenity
Serene and intimate, The Setai is an experience all of its own. An oasis of tranquility amidst the energy of South Beach. Its design and vision artfully combine the rich architectural history of South Beach’s Art Deco District with the multi-faceted cultural history of the International Art Deco movement, particularly its influence in Asia.
As one of the most significant expressions of the Art Deco movement in South Beach, The Art Deco Building was designed by renowned architect Henry Hohauser and originally opened as the Dempsey-Vanderbilt hotel by heavyweight champion Jack Dempsey in 1937. Eighty years later, The Setai Miami Beach remains the award-winning crown jewel of South Beach, an intimate oceanfront resort that combines a rich architectural history with a sleek Art Deco Fusion style.
In 2017, the Hotel will observe the 80th Anniversary of its landmark Art Deco Building, with a number of 80th Anniversary property-wide celebrations including Setai Vintage.
Adjacent to the Art Deco Building is The Setai’s 40-story glass residential tower featuring The Ocean Suites surpassing all around it in elevation, views, and design with 1-4 bedroom suites and complimentary services.
