To invest in children.
Our summer camps are designed around the idea of inclusion. No one is turned away because of their circumstances. Under-served, from broken homes, in the foster care system, living in poverty, these are many of the at-risk children that come to our camp. Our camps are scholarship-based to financially support families in need. The costs involved are a significant and purposeful investment in youth.
To cultivate servant leadership.
We put young men and women in the right environment to grow as leaders. We provide hands on learning where young people are given the opportunity to design, implement, and supervise people and programs daily. This is all done in an intense community model that teaches authority through service.
To teach teamwork
We offer experiential learning situations that teach valuable lessons on what it means to be part of a team.
To be the church
The Salvation Army is mission driven to meet human needs in the name of Jesus Christ without discrimination. Our message is based on the bible and our ministry is motivated by the love of Jesus Christ for all humanity.
