What I liked

Coworkers at the company are very friendly and willing to help. I never felt like I was left out despite having an unorthodox position at the company. They were also very flexible about what hours I wanted to work. Another thing I appreciated a lot is their willingness and capacity to try and integrate new technologies into their field of work in order to streamline the construction process as much as possible.

What I wish was different

Only thing I wish could have been different was that I wish there were more employees or interns working in my area of work. However I expected to have to work largely on my own due to the lack of software engineers at your typical construction company.

Advice

If you're ever working on a software project, whether its on your own or in a team, try to brake tasks up into smaller more manageable pieces to avoid things becoming too much to handle. That way you have an easier time getting something closer to your minimum viable product by the end of your internship.
