Meet as many new people within the business as you can. Try to introduce yourself to create lasting connections.

What I liked
Working in a tech/entertainment company is always interesting because it's not your typical business internship where you need to dress at least business casual. Everyone was in casual dress, there were bean bag chairs if you didn't want to sit at a desk, and it was a very cozy atmosphere.
What I wish was different
I wish the internship program for the Video Services department were more defined. Interns don't need to be trusted with actual tasks, they just need to feel like their time is well spent. I also wish that the original description of what I was going to be tasked doing matched what I actually did. I was told that there were some marketing-related opportunities, but all I did was manage/filter through YouTube and Vevo content.
Advice
If you're hired to work for the Orchard, you may like it. I'm sure there are students who would enjoy what I did; it just wasn't for me. Just make sure they tell you at least examples of what you would be doing. Sometimes the description and title sounds pretty, but in reality, it's just mundane work.
