I enjoyed getting hands-on experience in a newsroom setting. Additionally, I enjoyed covering local events and writing human interest stories about the community.
What I wish was different
I would like to have had more critique from editors and I would have liked to write more complex and hard-hitting stories.
Advice
Always meet your deadlines and ask for assistance if you need to get in touch with someone you are scheduled to interview or are writing about.
