Getting to do a little bit of everything: press box; grounds crew; ticket office; promotions; concessions; it was a very beneficial internship as a beginner to see my strengths and weaknesses in the industry so far and what I enjoy doing
What I wish was different
Obviously there were factors outside of the organization's control, and it was tough with staffing shortages, so it would have been nice to see a "normal" year, but it is easy to say that. That being said, it was also beneficial to work this season to see things change in real time and adapt to what was going on.
Advice
Never say no, always be willing to help. Going the extra mile, especially in this kind of internship, can really make you stand out amongst your peers and help set you apart. I saw a few interns get promoted to full-time staff or higher internships in the few months I was there, so helping unpack those giveaway boxes and changing the promotional flyers around the park can go a long way.

What I liked
Holding different roles, learning many functions about the park and running a game
What I wish was different
Advice
Be versatile, be open to learning on the fly, we dealt with staffing shortages the first season back from a pandemic so a few games I held multiple roles so I had to be quick to adapt.
