The Kraft Heinz Company

Business development intern

May - August 2019 • Minneapolis, MN

What I liked

Kraft gave me a meaningful project that helped me learn and grow while working in a team environment

What I wish was different

I didn’t really feel supported at times. The company talked about all of these things my managers would do to help me succeed and they didn’t do the majority of those things

Advice

Make sure you Make friends and give a great presentation at the end. The presentation may frustrate you becuase no one came to listen (my experience) but they are recording it and it matters.

General Contractor

June - August 2018 • Beaver Dam, WI

What I liked

I stayed busy and always had something to do to pass the time.

What I wish was different

Have a set work schedule and have set days off.

Advice

Be prepared to work weekends and 12 hour shifts. There is a potential for weeks straight without having a day off.

corporate management trainee intern

June - August 2017 • Glenview, IL

What I liked

The internship program exposes you to many aspects of the company, with lectures from senior leaders in all fields. Strong mentors are provided to each student to help guide them through their work, which provided real value to the company. The program also featured social events to get to know the other interns.

What I wish was different

At times there was a lack of communication between the heavily populated downtown Chicago office and the interns at the R&D center in Glenview. Could also have used more time to work on my project.

Advice

Take advantage of all that is offered to you. You will have the opportunity to meet the top executives at the company, ask them questions. Get to know other departments besides the one you were placed in,

Corporate Management Intern

June - August 2018 • Chicago, IL

What I liked

I liked that there was lot of interaction with higher up individuals. Flat organization, cool cohort and the work was really challenging.

What I wish was different

The culture of the company is not great. They are all about getting things done and less about making sure you are alright. They are pretty explicit about the culture though so it wasn't a surprise.

Advice

If you want to make the best of the experience, make sure that you reach out to people in the organization.

A longer internship with a sooner start date.

Advice
