I liked getting to care for the residents. I also liked that I could get a hold of the managers pretty easily when I needed to. The training I got qas very applicable and helpful.
What I wish was different
The environment among some of the employees wasn't always that great.
Advice
Look at the people and care for them as individuals. Genuinely try to help them and make their life a little better.

Administrative Intern
September 2022 • Rexburg, ID
What I liked
The people I work with are super nice and helpful. It's very hands-on training, but there is someone there to help until you feel comfortable enough to start doing things on your own.
What I wish was different
It would have been really nice if there was some sort of pay, even if it was just minimum wage. It's hard working another job at the same time and getting enough hours outside of the internship to make money to cover expenses, and it would help a lot.
Advice
Absolutely do not be afraid to ask questions or for clarification. It is a lot better to ask questions than to try to do it on your own and mess something up. As an intern, you still handle important papers and things such as meds, and it's very important it doesn't accidentally get messed up.

What I liked
A great staff who love to help and support one another.
Residents who are kind.
What I wish was different
There is a huge turnover rate for employment.
If a member of the owners family comes in to join the team your job may be at risk to be replaced by them
Advice
As in any job, it becomes as fun and nice as you make it. I knew lots of people that worked there also and if you go in with a good attitude you love the job.
