I loved being in Washington, DC. I was exposed to many different projects that I was not familiar with beforehand because I had no previous experience in political communications.
What I wish was different
I felt that there were too many interns for the size of the office. I was diligent about seeking work; however, other interns would go days without being given a project.
Advice
Be a hard worker, always. In this office, it is beneficial to ask for work and volunteer for the work other interns do not want to do. This is a great way to stand out.
