I loved how much money I was making and enjoyed the social pieces of being waitress. I got to meet a lot of new people, and be myself.
What I wish was different
I wish they would update their scheduling system and were more flexible with the amount of hours I could work. As an NCAA athlete I'm not able to work a lot during season and when I told the owners they were very disappointed in me even though I had warned them.
Advice
Let things go that are out of your control and if you're giving 100% of your effort all the time you shouldn't let someone else's opinion shake you. The restaurant industry is ruthless and a lot of employers aren't understanding which means you have to have thick skin and remember who you are as a person in order to ultimately make money and have a good time.
